Find Me Again
Find me again
and this time, fall in love with me.
Embrace me
the way the air holds roses
gently,
consistently,
openly
with all of nature
witnessing our quiet, endless dance.
My lake lives in the sky;
my clouds bloom like bushes in my garden.
I walk God’s land,
relishing His house
and every created thing.
But I do not forget:
I can still arrange His furniture.
You see,
life must be art
and art
is an act of worship.
I brighten the sun’s rays, just a little.
I reposition the stars
a necklace draped on the mountain’s collarbone,
the broad chest of the sky.
I kiss every rose I meet.
I bury the bees who lie fallen in the street.
I gaze toward the horizon
and pray,
my key poised to open the windows of Heaven
and I ask for you.
Come.
Find me again. And this time,
stay.
